Maori

In Maori, we were learning about a story called Poutini and Waitaiki. And I chose one of the characters and wrote from their point of view.


I miss my husband I got taken by this creature and it has taken me someplace that I don't know. I don't have any way to get in touch with any of my family or husband. I was bathing in the pond or you might call it the river. I told my husband that I would be back by 12:00 but it is now 4:00pm and I'm not home yet, he is probably worried sick. I hope this is all fake because I don’t want to be here much longer I hope this is all a setup. If you are wondering what my name is, it is Waitaiki and my husband's name is Tamaahua and he is really sweet, oh geez i have to stop writing because the creature is coming. Okay, it has left now i can write again. I’m still scared and I want to leave.

Trash

In 7/8Al, we were reading the book Trash. I liked it because the book was cool and there is a video for the book that AL watched before starting the book. The people in the book went on a hunt for people and money they found the money eventually. There were three boys their names are Rat (Jun jun), Gardo and Raphael. There were also another two people and their names are Jose Angelico and Pia Dante.

Trash was created by Andy Mulligan. And it is a good book and i would suggest it to people who like reading. Andy Mulligan wrote this book in ten days. There was some money in a coffin that they found. They found 6 million dollars. They sleep at their grandmother's house and work a place called smokey mountain.

They ran away from the cops and also lied to the cop sin some parts. Because Raphael found a bag that had a wallet in the bag and a key that the cops were trying to find.

That is why this book is awesome and i would suggest it to people that want to read a book but just not sure what book to read. The book trash has been made into a movie.

Instrument Families

String

The string family is the largest family of instruments  they came in four sizes the viola is the smallest in the string family he cello is the biggest in the string family

Woodwind 

It is the highest sounding Instrument. Woodwind's family is a family of instruments.

Percussion

The most common instrument in the percussion family xylophone, cymbals, and snare drum. Bell, drum, pianos, and shakers.

Orchestra

It is a kind of band of instruments. It is also a part of the music and it is only instruments.

Buddy Holly

Buddy Holly

He was born in 1936. His stage name is Buddy holly and his real name is Charles Holley. The type of music he does is Rock and roll, rockabilly, pop, and country. Fave songs from him are Rave on and Mabey baby. He was not good at the violin when he was a child. Died in 1959 3rd of February died the age of 22.

C.I.P Week 6

Today in C.I.P we were working on the garden, the outdoor classroom, a greenhouse that is by the garden and a group with Mark that was doing pruning with Mark and cutting thew ivy off the trees to stop it growing more on the trees. After it is cut off it will grow back eventually but the group cut it until we couldn't see that much ivy on the trees some were bigger trees but Megan and I worked together to get it done faster.

Period 3 and 4 Megan and I were helping Mr. Ticsh got strong people to help him lift broken concrete from the new greenhouse. here is an image of what we had to try and deal with but its not the exact trees we did.

It was a lot of fun to help today I wish we could do it every day and I love helping in gardens.

C.I.P

Today in C.I.P we were doing two things. One thing was an outside classroom and a garden I was in the garden grope. It is cool just trust me but I was working in the garden. What we did with the garden is we turned over the old soil and made it darker than it was before started. We got some compost and mixed it in with the dirt. What we did last week was removed things that were on top of the garden that we are working on. We did more digging after morning tea and before as well. Some of us wore gloves and we all used either a spaid or a garden fork. Some teachers took pictures. Also, some students helped Mark prune trees. What we also did in the garden was made a pitch type of thing around all of the soil. I was in the outside classroom at the start then i moved into the garden group and just to say I think everyone did a wonderful job. It was also a lot of fun to help with both of the groups.
