Some Adverbs you can use - Surprisingly, Simply, Excitedly, Concerningly, Confusingly, Remarkably, Significantly, Often, Firstly, Similarly.

Try starting the sentence with the 'ed' form of the verb. It makes for a punchy start to the sentence.
Remember the rule- When you have finished your -ed phrase, place a comma, then write the rest of your sentence.
You can use some 'ed' words- Suprised, excited, committed., undaunted, determined, overpowered, concerned, cornered, delighted, enthralled.
Examples:
Detained to win, Tony pushed himself harder in the last meters of sprint.
Concerned for the well-being of others, the Prime Minister passed new laws.
